Well avon tires for the Bonnie are unobtanium here in the states. I guess it looks like bridgestone bt46 tires are going to be my choice. I just don't know enough about the new Michelin road classic tires they are putting on the bikes now to spend the money on them. It sounds like a few guys here like their bridgestones so I'll give them a try.

Agree, what a fantastic colour scheme, I also really like the chrome mirrors.

Before you change out the tires, why not ride them for awhile and make your own decision on replacing them.

I've thought about it, from what I've read the tires are the biggest complaint on the bike. So bad that even triumph quit using them. Mine is one of the last new bikes with them. But I may ride it as is until the tires I want become available. I'll be taking it easy anyway during the break in period. To me the tires are one of the most important things on a motorcycle. It's what keeps you stuck to the road and can also play a role in ride quality.

Well I did get the rear rack today. FedEx delivered it, left in on the front porch in a snow storm. By the time I got home from work the box was totally soaked and falling apart. But the Givi rack is very nice, heavy tubing. Got it on amazon for $155. I have a givi top box that will fit on it nicely, just big enough to hold a helmet and give my girl something to lean against.

Well since I don't have the bike home yet due to the weather here I just keep buying the things I want to make it my bike. Today I got the engine guards.
These are upper engine guards, they will also give me a place to mount some auxiliary lights. All stainless steel, made by motone.
    20230130_170517.jpg
One of the reasons I chose these was because of the gusseted mounting flanges, not just flat steel.
    20230130_170528.jpg
This will give them a lot of strength.
    20230130_170538.jpg
Another thing I liked about these was the way they connect together on the bottom, once everything is bolted on you will have to look for the seam.
    20230130_170551.jpg
They are polished very nicely. Stainless steel so no rusting or pitting.
    20230130_170610.jpg
I got them from A&J cycles here in the states. They shipped fast. They have a ton of stuff for Bonnie's, I'll be ordering from them again.

Nice, Greg! Hopefully you will only use them as lighting mounts and won't ever have to use them as actual engine guards. ;):) Hopefully the weather will improve before your bank account is empty. Until then, have fun stimulating the economy!

Congratulations on the Triumph ! I ran the stock tires out and put on Spirit ST tires and thought they were great . Looking for a new set and just ran into that nothing available problem. Enjoy !

Well I was hoping to get the bike home today but the weather has turned to crap again. We had an ice and snow mix mid week which brought out the salt trucks again, asphalt roads are white again. So now I wait for warmer Temps and rain again to wash the salt away. So I went to the dealer to pay for some accesories and look at my new bike, sit on it and dream about riding it soon I hope.
    Panier racks are on.

I put the little rubber pad on the tank that keeps your jacket zipper from scratching it.

And this is a little Amazon find. It's a dual USB and voltage Meter and it has an off switch so you can shut it off.

I replaced the Pirelli Phantom front with a Metzler Roadtec 01 on my 2020 T120. Noticeable difference in tracking and agility on the road. Also looks good on the Bonnie. Very happy with it. btw, my Ace came with a Triumph backpack and key fob in addition to the portfolio.

I did about 3.600 km on the Bridgestone tyres till now and can tell you that every mile/kilometer with them is great!!! After the change from the original Pirellis to the Bridgestone I got a "need" bike with a great performance! You will experience it! ;)

Winter storm yesterday, heavy wet snow. Weather is not cooperating. Bike is still at the dealer, dont know when it's going to come home.
Looking out the kitchen window into the backyard, so depressing, lol.

Wewll I've made the first payment on the bike and I still don't have it home. Still have snow on the ground. The maple trees are blooming so we gotta be getting some warmer weather soon.

Still winter here, snowed yesterday, snowing all day today but it's not sticking. Temps are just above freeing and the roads are salted well so it's just wet. Is this ever going to end? Everytime I get a Saturday off either it's snowing or just downright cold.
I would really like to get my new bike home.

Well I couldn't take it anymore and went and picked the bike up. Roads where dry. I purchased the bike back in January but the weather her has really sucked, either cold, snowing, or the roads are covered in salt.
At the dealer and got her loaded up.
    20230318_144654.jpg
See the snow on the straps? As soon as I was done strapping her down a snow squall blew in.
    20230318_144708.jpg 20230318_144716.jpg 20230318_144724.jpg
I thonk it really is a beautiful modern classic. Triumph got it right.
    20230318_144734.jpg
so I have these heavy aluminum extrusions that I use for ramps.
    20230318_154029.jpg
I used one for the bike and one for me to walk down and it worked like a charm.
    20230318_154442.jpg
So I have it tucked in the garage and the battery tender plugged in. Waiting for warmer weather so I can get a coat of wax on it and some ride time.
