Clutch cable quandary

As you can see from the pic, the cable adjuster is right over one way, not in the middle as it should be.
My question is, why? And what's likely to happen if I move it back to the middle? Bear on mind the clutch does seem OK and though a little heavy doesn't slip or catch or do anything abnormal

No all the way out. Kind of in the middle.
My concern is what will happen when I centre the adjuster by the actuator arm. Can I level it out by the lever adjust or is it gonna show a clutch problem..... Gonna fix if I can on Sunday...

 

Clutch doesn't slip on mine, though seems to vibrate when hard accelerating past 8k and the gear chance is mega clunky from 1St to 2nd. Low load and revs it's fine. Gonna tackle it in an hour or so, see if I can adjust to spec and get it to work. I suspect there's a prob with clutch basket or a bearing down there tho.
Have little or no play at lever and it's a little stiff too. Best Tey greasing the cable too. It's not snagged. Fingers crossed.

Cables adjusted as far as it will go. Time to replace. We'll see after then....

 

26k. It's working OK. Less stiff, just at the end of its adjustment. No biggy. Easy enough job.
