I’d be on sharing about my non- Triumph, @Dartplayer, but I am off on a scuba trip in Cozumel, Mexico. But then, here I am at the moment (4pm here) on my iPhone on the condo couch posting a message to you. Today was the first day of diving, and we saw the largest turtle I’ve ever seen underwater (or on land for that matter), a huge green moray, and a smallish reef shark. And lots more of “the usual suspects“. I have a few threads to post about motorcycles upon my return to the desert-a rally and a vintage bike show. But I did notice what time it was when you took that screenshot. What’s your time difference from the UK and the US? And are you really on the forum at 2:58 am your time?
Thanks Sandi, great you having a good time AND in the ocean again. Yes, on holiday in OZ and couldn’t sleep
Today I took the Aprilia to AP Workshops in Fazeley for new boots, chain and sprockets. My buddy Griff (owner) and Amber (mechanic) also gave it a good once over and checked and greased the dogbone linkage. The ride was very dull so no pics on the way but a couple of the workshop where you are encouraged to stay and watch
Early morning tour to the office. 5 degree Celsius on my way was not so great. Hurray for my heat grips on my Honda!
Yes heated grips are an absolute must for cold days riding. I even have them on my Thruxton which I rarely ride when it is cold.
After my business duties I rode a 200 km tour in a great landscape with wonderful autumn weather. The temperature went up to 18 degrees.
Today a much needed cleaning was on the schedule. Chain care was of course also included. Tomorrow it goes then due to the announced weather on an extended day trip.
Took the car to Jeremy Clarksons Diddly Squat farm shop. A great run through the Cotswolds. Forecast was for rain and sure enough it persisted down in the middle of the day. All I can say is, don’t waste your time going as there’s feck all there….Diddly Squat is an apt name …. Was due to go to Bladon to see Winston Churchills grave but it was throwing it’s down torrentially so passed on that.
I Sorned all my bikes today. I had hoped to fit in a few final rides of the season this last week, but the weather and my health combined to keep me indoors most of the time.
Brilliant ! Takes me back to when near everyone had them on their Bonnies and so forth. Lovely drone on the '69 Trophy with the removable baffles, uh ... removed. Actually, if you replaced the engine with a Triumph it would near be a carbon copy of what we ran around on. Today .. finished off Sporty Sport for new owner to hopefully take away tomorrow, crossing fingers and off to get some fuel !!
After a few days of wintry conditions with snow and ice followed by torrential rain, the weather calmed down for me tonight. Therefore, I enjoyed a still somewhat damp and cool, but still nice tour to the office in the morning. In the late afternoon it goes then at about 8-10 degrees and sun back home.
