OK not wishing to P**s anybody off, who may like these bikes below, to me they're disgusting looking things, that I wouldn't want f they were giving them away. They're worse than me looking in the mirror in the morning. At least Triumph are not going the same way. What's your thoughts on these bikes.

They look more like paddock scooters than road bikes....

The two Suzukis don't offend me. The mini cruisers however..................

I'm not a fan of any of them, but you have to assume the manufacturer has done their market research. Who in their right mind would produce a bike no one wants to buy?

Pretty much every bike looks hideous to me. All external plumbing, weird lumps sticking out, mismatched styling, impossible pillion seats, riding positions and concrete seats that don’t suit a 6’3 oik of a retired persuasion…I could go on

My wife sums it up nicely - she likes bikes you can see through.

Adventure style and comfort bikes on normal height suspension are as near as I could get but I need a bit more than a Himalayan.

A Suzuki-based forum I also frequent has come to the same conclusion on the new Strom and 8S. The former is heavier and way too ugly compared to the far more svelte new Transalp, and the 8S is as hideous as the new Hornet.

No sign of a 660-based adv from Triumph at EICMA... Perhaps we'll see one at the UK NEC show in two weeks. If they go with the road-biased 19/17 sized cast wheels, like a scaled down 900GT, then I'd be very tempted.

Got to agree @Bikerman , but then I’m biased as I love my triumphs.

Pretty much in agreement.I'm sure someone will love them . I'd like to have a closer look a the new 8s by Suzuki. But the bazooka can on the little Honda YIPES.

I would take the 8S if you gave it to me, but I wish Suzuki would curb the needle nose.

You missed this lovely beast ...

My other half purchased a 500 Rebel (third bike down) almost 4yrs ago simply because it was the largest capacity motorcycle she could flat foot and feel confident riding. It’s not something I would ever thought I’d end up owning.
I was tasked with running it in and easily put the initial mileage required to get its first service out of the way and was so impressed ordered one for myself on a whim whilst hers was having its first oil change.
It’s undeniably been given a good going over with the ugly stick more than once, yet has been utterly reliable and has exceptional fuel economy.
It’s not the most comfortable of bikes but having ridden it well over 500 miles in a day without concern is far more than I’ve ever managed to do on my fantastic looking Speed Twin!
However I’m very tempted by the new 700 Caballero. If it does over 90mpg like the Honda, the Honda’s gone.

The Honda 500 twins are well regarded, and something light and nimble like the CB500X is something I'd like to try, but no dealers have any on as a demo ride. If my short legs don't prevent me getting on one, the nicer power/torque numbers of the new Transalp may be more like it.

That CB500X is a good looking bike, and if I were in the market for a new bike that would be a candidate for sure. I like it in red too.

I actually like the new V-Strom. The Hondas, well isn't it a bit like Saab cars were in the past, strange looking until you get used to it, then you might even love it but most importantly it's high quality.

I had an Africa Twin (2016 new model) and currently have a CB1100EX alongside my Triumph. The paint quality is not it once was on Honda's, my 2018 Honda engine paint is very poor quality compared to my 2018 Tiger, no comparison at all. The Triumph had four times the mileage of the Honda and is in perfect shape in comparison.
