It's not fastened on yet just sat in place.
Has to be a bargain at £30 despite the £12 postage (£42 total) for a genuine Triumph grab rail/carrier.

Anyone interested, TotalTriumph may still have some left.

200 mile round trip yesterday on my 1200 GT Explorer to visit my folks. Roads were pretty rubbish after all the rain from the evening before.... loads of debris and wet leaves preventing a spirited ride. Still good to be out though, and spotted a lot of bikes out yesterday. Only problem is the bike is now filthy and we still have a hosepipe ban :(

Fitted this little lot today. Was going to leave it until next month as there was still a few miles left on the OEM Metzelers but it's been p*ssing it down all day so thought what the hell. The tyres came from two different suppliers. The front was made in Brazil and the rear was made in China!

Been commuting once a week on my Tiger 850, my office is about 100miles away. It's been great, and a bit of a revelation how good it is riding on autumnal days, even when it's wet. It's good to ride for a purpose, I even fixed a puncture (1st time, nail) last week and did the commute the next day. Starting to feel like a real biker!

Labour weekend ride to the beach. Got to wear my new vest :party:and do plenty of weeding.
Traffic was good heading down, but chronic coming home, thankfully many cars/truck moved to allow easy splitting
I will need to pull footage from the DVR to post

I had new Road 6 tyres fitted, new chain and sprocket set, and while he was at it had my multilink checked and greased. All good.

What was REALLY nice, is that I got 20% off on the tyres and free fitting - nice surprise, as I hadn't realised they had a "winter sale". :)

Did you get a pair? They do look good, I will replace my pilot 5’s with the pilot 6’s next time round. A ride report would be appreciated :)

Yep, got a pair, not many miles left on the rear either, so thought might as well. I'll probably be out this weekend, so after the initial 60 miles give them some beans. I'll let you know what they're like, but if the 5's are anything to go by I won't be disappointed.

Yep the 5’s on both my Thruxton and Tiger are brilliant imo.

I short(ish) run out to bed in the new tyres and generally make sure everything was put back together correctly! :joy:
I had the Pirelli RSTR's on the first SS and I'd forgotten how different they are to the OEM Metzelers. The bike never really had any handling vices as standard but I think the Pirellis give better feedback and feel.

Glad you got out on your bike to see your folks in spite of some nasty-sounding conditions. But, hey, aren't adventure bikes sort of supposed to be dirty? ;):joy:

I just put the 5's on my Speed Triple RS and LOVE them! Yes, @Wessa, they are brilliant in your (and my) humble opinion. :)

Yesterday I took rear wheel to get new tyre fitted today, then replaced bearings, seals and spacers. (Bike has now done 45,000 miles.)

The right bearing seemed worn (had a bit more wobble than new bearings), and sprocket carrier bearing felt a little rough when I span assembly using finger as axle. Don’t know state of left bearing as it was the first bearing I pulled out, and spacer stopped things wobbling until I had. Chain also ended up with a little less slack, which could be another indication old bearings were worn.
