Helmet Prices!

    I've thought about buying a new AGV helmet over the last week or 2, had a bit of a shock last night when I planned to buy a K6 - helmet prices have gone up at least 20% in the last 48 hours!

    I've checked various shops, all the same, and looks as though it's not just AGV...... *sigh*

    Just checked on the going rate for my Arai RX 7V Mamola Edge Red and the Arais are still competitively priced. Is it just an AGV thing?

    From what I could see HJC and Shark have gone up too.
    Having bought 3 Arais prior to my AGV, dropping down their range each time I finally decided to look for better value elsewhere..... I'll check them out again, if they have not (yet??) increased then they are definitely an option.

    The one I quoted actually has S & XS sizes. You may find a design that you prefer in the right size.

    Not sure if it applies in this case ...but clear your cache on your PC browser etc....as sometimes "they know" and a cheaper price won't be found....

    This happens A LOT when looking for flights and holidays...I wouldn't be surprised it happens for other things too!

    After yet more searching I ended up buying an AGV K6 from Infinity Motorcycles - £280 for a 5* Snell rated, light helmet. So not so bad in the end.

    Just out of curiosity I had a look at the AGV website and was really surprised at the pricing level of their product range.

    I had a shark Spartan Carbon and after about 18 months it started falling apart. The top air vent flew apart while riding, the visor mounts kept coming loose. I would not buy another Shark you dont seem to be able to contact the company.
