climbed on the bike again to verify it feels as light as I thought, and yes it is easier to bring upright than my Tiger 900, of course the tank is empty. Also it is a bit taller, like having the seat at the highest setting and with rear preload for passenger & luggage

I like it. Some very positive reviews coming in now.

MCN gave a 5 out of 5 review rating.

I've got a demo ride booked for 16th April.

Does anyone test the Blind Spot Assist on the Tiger 1200 Explorer version?

I had a two hour test ride yesterday, greatly underwhelmed. Comfortable : defo, Nimble : defo. Weight loss : impressive (bike not me). Gearbox : slick. Performance even in sports mode underwhelming even compared to my 1200XCA and 2013 Tiger 1050 Sports. Noise from exhaust...what noise ? Suspension : non sports mode ...wallowing, sports mode ....good.
