Very clean and tidy, is that an uprated rear shock I see?

Just spent about £600 getting it ready for use and making it a more reliable starter, kick only and its a 500 single : unamused: who needs gym membership :joy:.
Theres more detail on the " what you been doing with your none Triumph" thread or some such title.

What a keen eye you have !
Correct it's a Nitron street with a pree load, softens up the back end. Just changed the fork seals and put 5 weight oil, now she rides very nice.

A lot of people underestimate the value of good suspension, nice upgrades.
Off road in particular it's worth far more than another 10 bhp or whatever sticking on the top.

Surprising how a little careful spanner time and personalisation makes the bike so much better for yourself.
Here's my youngest taking the clutch pack out ready for me to fettle and reduce drag, it makes finding neutral a lot easier.

I have owned just over over 80 machines, started off on an ex WW2 Despatch Riders bike (I did a previous post some while back with details), although I am getting on a little now. Ride safe all from an ageing Rocker

I'd love an Armstrong. Who do you go to for spares ? CCM , Rotax , or Harley Davidson ?

Being an Armstrong and ex army means there are still quite a few specialist suppliers who can provide just about everything even despite a production run of only around 3000 initially. Obviously 37 years on the number of remaining units will be severely depleted.
One of the issues is that due to them being from a military contract and value for money coming into it then certain aspects now seem at odds. No electric start was fitted, no doubt to cheapen it off, yet the rear carrier apparently is strong enough to carry the bike from an helicopter :p..... hey that's handy now in civvy life isn't it?

@C. Dolan Wow you must have some space available to home 395 bikes  even 50 bikes is a fair warehouse.
