I ran across this old(er) video that I did about five years ago for our local Harley-Davidson dealer . Yep, this is a Triumph forum. ;) But I now consider many of you my "forum friends" and those of you that know me know my stable consists of my Speed Triple and two Harleys, currently a Fat Boy and a Street Glide Special. And I thought some of you might get a kick out of the video. It was shot on Mt. Lemmon. I'm about three Harleys beyond the Dyna Low Rider S that's featured here, but seeing it makes me miss it a little bit. It was such a hot rod bike! The very last line of the video was "contrived"--the interviewer told me to say it. Doh...:joy:

Well, well, well.......Mrs Harley Rider  How cool was that!
There's this unknown idea of what you think someone sounds like, and you don't sound anything like I thought you was going to.....
I'd never have the gumption to do that, so bloody well done. It was so good I watched it twice....

It's brilliant seeing you "brought to life" @Sandi T, I really enjoyed that. I love how your genuine mentoring and encouragement of other women riders comes across so well - you have an authenticity that's all too rare :).

Brilliant performance, you never know, Steven Spielberg may see this and snap you up for his next blockbuster. Got your point over really well, and you seemed really relaxed too. Well done Sandi.

Well done Sandi; great advert for motorcycling and you make a good advocate for newcomers to motorcycling and women especially. Also a beautiful setting for the interview.

I’m afraid the only Harley I ever really liked was the Fatboy of around the Terminator 2 era. So can you get your local Triumph dealer to do a similar video?

Brilliant Sandi, you really are very good at this!
Have to agree with Joe, you have quite a mild accent (to English ears) and I thought coming from Arizona it would have been stronger. :D
Any plans to do another one?

I'd love to see if I can get our local Triumph dealer to do something similar, @RevPaul! I know the folks there quite well so perhaps I could show them this and see if they're interested. I'm not sure that that dealership has much of an online presence, though. But it never hurts to check. I've mentioned in another thread that I'm jones-ing to get a women's ride group going in Tucson. I love riding with the group that I currently ride with but at this point I'm pretty much the only woman in the bunch. And I am always happy when I meet women who are interested in riding or have just started and I try to encourage and support them. So thanks for the encouragement from you and also @Pegscraper to do a similar video with a Triumph theme. I'll let you know what the response is from "Triumph World" as Mr. Sandi and I call our Tucson dealership.

RevPaul, I began riding (pillion) on a 2001 Fatboy when Mr. Sandi and I started dating because that's what he was riding at the time. While his bike was 10 model years later than the one in Terminator 2, it was very similar to "the Terminator bike" which was the impetus for Mr. Sandi to get a Fat Boy. And now, 20 model years later, I've completed the circle so to speak, with my 2021 Fat Boy. :)

Thanks, Steve! :) I didn't have to do much besides answer questions and have a conversation with a guy who used to work for Tucson H-D who I'd known for awhile. Plus I can talk about motorcycles and the joys of motorcycling for hours on end (surprise, surprise ;)).

I guess I never think of Arizonans having an accent. There are definitely other areas of the U.S. that have strong accents (to my ear anyway!) like New York, New Jersey, Texas, and lots of the South. I hail from Minnesota originally and people from the "northern Midwest" have an accent that sounds somewhat Canadian. Minnesotans staunchly deny they have an accent but I can hear it immediately and always love to surprise them by correctly guessing where they're from when they think they "don't have an accent". :joy:

No plans to do another video at this point. But I did send this video and another about another woman rider to the new marketing director for Tucson's two dealerships. That video that was also done for the Real Riders Series. I'm hoping that the videos might spark some ideas for reaching out to aspiring and new riders. If any of you have any ideas, I'm all ears! :kissing_heart:

That really is a nice bike, if any Harley would tempt me away from my Triumph it would be a Fatboy: IMHO Harley’s designers got the design right, right out of the box, with just the right balance of muscle, custom and classic and they haven’t been tempted to mess with it too much.

Nice vid Sandi. I like the way people picked up on your voice. I obviously had no idea what you sounded like but your voice just "suits you" if you understand what i mean. What you sounded like wasnt in anyway a surprise or that seemed at odds.
Yes the last line was cheesy but it was a great video!

To be fair Sandi I've never heard an Arizona accent before so I shouldn't assume that it might be particularly strong. The English are quite used to American accents through cinema and TV and The West Wing of course but maybe not so good at placing them. I've only been to Florida and met Americans from New York (easy one to spot), Denver and Houston
