    Hi everyone,
Thanks in advance for any help given. I have a 1996 Daytona T595. When pulling away or even when just raising the idle when at stand still the engine will cough/splutter the rev through it. Don’t seem to notice it at higher rev range.
For example when pulling away from a junction it’s almost like a misfire then clears at approx 2-2500rpm.
Spark plugs have been changed but old ones looked clean.
    Any ideas???

Is the bike exhaust standard, may need tuneecu to change map to suit the can, worked on my t509.
Have you looked at the 3 vacuum pipes to the injectors, any leaks or breaks?

Sounds like running very close to too lean at idle , and leans out when throttle is initially opening !
    I'd look at following
    1 inlet rubber cracking !
    2 vacuum piping and cap's
    3 diaphragms in carburettors
4 simplest of all raise the idle ?
5 more difficult - idle jets blocking up or floats out .
    6 adjust/synchronisation of carburettors.

    Just a few quick thoughts

    cheers capt

No carbs capt, it is fuel injected.

It’s funny you say that sprintdave.
The previous owner did say he had an aftermarket can fitted but swapped it back for the original when selling. Does it really affect it that much?

I’m checking the vacuum pipes tomorrow

If he changed the map when he fitted the can but didn't change it back after putting the original back on, yes it can and does make a difference. There are maps on tuneecu for most systems, if you ask in the tuneecu forums I'm sure you will find the best for you. You need a lonelec lead and tuneecu app or ask a mate and use theirs.

    Thanks sprintdave.
Next million dollar question… anyone local to the south west have this technology?

    1 ,2 , & 6 still apply , just in a slightly different manner.
And 4 could be a simple temporary work around if 1,2 & 6 don't sort it , until you do find the actual cause.
