New owner of 73 bonnie

Hi folks. Im a newly proud owner of a 73 t140v bonnie. Need some advice on a few things if anyone can help.

I have bouncy needles on speedometre and rev counter. Ive heard of a way to fix this but want to know for sure before i dive into it.

Also the rear tail light does not work with front brake. Shud there be something coming from the brake leaver?

Any help and advice is much apreciated.

Hi Ade, thanks for the welcome. There is no cables coming from
Master cylinder at all. I did reckon it maybe cos its an older model. But someone told me it shud turn on rear break light for front and back.

 

Cheers chairi1. I did think along thise lines of that ot maybe too old to have it. Guy that Mot'd it never me tioned it so thought it must have been fine. He also has a bonnie from 79.

Just learning bits as i go and thought this would be best place to find out.
