@Bluenoser2: The heated grips are currently enough for me. For the heated seat, I would have to replace the seat cushion. My bike would be ready for it. Connectors, wiring and switches are available.
Bluenoser2 Welcome to the family. Do share a picture of the bike. Just hit the upload a file button bottom right corner and keep the inmates happy. Joe.
Bluenoser2 Terrific pictures and a great bike. Love the one with all the snow and you have the right machine to hack its way through it. Thanks for the pictures. Bet it is a gorgeous place in the sunnier climes. Joe
Thanks Joe! The pics were taken about 2 weeks apart. We get many winter days above 0 Celsius that are suitable for riding. There is usually a 1-2 week period in late January where it is -10 but on the flip side, we see a 2 week period in the summer of +30. McDonald is a very big name in the eastern part of the province on Cape Breton Island. It is where the famous Cabot Trail is. That ride should be on everyone’s list. See this tourist link on YouTube. All the best and talk soon! David
Bluenoser2 Boy i got the right name and the wrong place. What went wrong there. It is stunning. That has to go on my bucket list. But the phrase at the end might come true and my heart will stay there. Thanks for sharing that fantastic video. Joe
It comes up as one of the top drives in North America. It's about 3 - 3 1/2 hour drive from Halifax. There's direct LHR-YHZ (Halifax) service. All the best Joe and I look forward to chatting more with you in the Forum. Best Regards, David
Hey David. David here from Ontario. I just purchased a 2015 Trophy SE ABS. It's still at the dealer 3 hours away but hopefully I'll get it soon to add some 50watt LED auxiliary-lights. Our group is heading to Newfoundland this July and Cabot Trail is on the list. Nice looking bike. David London, Ontario
Hi David! Nice to meet you! Sorry for the delay! COVID caught up to our house and it's been a bit chaotic. Send along a pic of your bike when you get it and feel free to drop a line before you leave and maybe we can meet. I've been to London many times as I used to work for Jazz and I was the real estate manager who lead the sale of the hangar to Fanshawe College. All the best, David
Hey Qship! Nice to meet you and my apologies for the delay. As I mentioned to DavidC, COVID finally caught us and it's been disruptive to say the least. Thankfully we all seemed to do ok and kept it away from my elderly mother. I love the bike more and more! I had a Transalp which I found very difficult to let go, but I now know that I don't need to look back. The Tiger is very capable. I have some Heed Crashbars to install and will explore a little more once they are on. Anytime you're out this way, don't hesitate to drop me a line. Best Regards, David
Small world. My wife used to work for Jazz. We almost moved to Fall River back in the day. She now teaches marketing at Fanshawe thru the business school. Just curious what your last name is? She said there were a few David's at Jazz at the time. No worries about getting back to me. Everyone is busy these days. We had covid over Christmas. Just recently our daughter caught the bug She's quarantined to the basement. I'm hoping there isn't resurgence of the pandemic and my travel plans get squashed in July. I'm hoping to get some seat time on the Trophy prior to NFLD. Talk soon. David
Hey David. Are you Anne's "David"? My last name is Rankin and she would most certainly remember me as we both worked for Scott at one time.
Wow. That's definitely a small world. Of course the motorcycle world is pretty vast. I'm hoping I can benefit on the Triumph site as I have on the Honda ST-Owners site? Talk to you soon.
