This information may be useful for anyone changing their handlebars and wanting to know the differences in Clutch cable lengths.

I am putting higher bars on my 2017 Street Cup for a more comfortable Street Twin or Scrambler riding position. I have not made the conversion yet because my new Renthal bars are on back order. However, here are the differences between the standard Street Cup and Street Scrambler clutch cables.

    • Street Cup Clutch Cable (T2048890) - 108cm (black sleeve length)
    • Street Scrambler (T2048870) - 115cm (black sleeve length)
    • Street Twin (T2048869) - ??cm

By way of an update, I have now fitted Renthal Road Ultra Low 758 bars (similar to the standard Street Twin height) and the longer Street Scrambler clutch cable (T2048870) I bought fits just fine. If anything it’s an inch too long but I got around this by routing the cable more generously under the clocks. I am sure the Street Twin cable would have been fine too but I was originally planning on slightly higher bars.

Related to the bar change, I was able to get away with not changing the front brake line but it would not have reached with higher bars.

Thanks, been searching for this all day. Going the opposite way and looking for shorter cable after fitting clip ons. Many thanks

Venhill will make new cables to any length, often cheaper than OEM items and a quality product, these save a lot of hassle.
