Hi, Jason Bourne here, ha, no, kidding. I wouldn't be here without the Motorcycles and Misfits Podcast. Regular on the show, Emma would extol the finish and reliability of modern Triumphs on almost every episode. Secretly I think she just wants all the Suzuki's for herself. I ended up at the local Triumph dealership because of her. I test rode a 2019 Bonneville t-100 then I test rode the 2019 765R Street Triple the same day that I bought in December 2020. I loved the Bonneville but I felt like it needed a 6th gear. When I rode the triple all I heard was mini V-12 noises. My wife told me to get the bike I wanted but that she would ride on the back of the Bonneville but not the Street. My wife is amazing but here we are. 6400 miles in, while doing the 6000 mile service in my garage I snapped the main fuel line when the tank hit the floor during reassembly. Plus one 2016 STR main fuel line for 16 dollars later and a scratched and dented tank it runs great. Just waiting for the dealer tool to arrive from GB(that's Great Britain to all you patriots) so I can balance the TB's and clear the maintenance wrench on the TFT display. I know this comes across as flippant but I am a maintenance nerd so everything needs to be just so. I rode too many miles on the OE Pirellis and replaced them with Dunlop Roadsmart 3's at 3900 miles, New tires are predictable on the street, I recommend them. When riding in 40 degree F weather, if you hammer on the throttle making a left turn off a stop sign before T/C kicks in the rear will step out, just back off the throttle a bit and they will hook back up no problem once you get mostly straight then hammer, hammer, hammer. Oh yeah, at 2600 miles on the tires, both look new. Regardless nice to meet you.
Photos? Will I need to host them on line? Or is there a way to post directly from the gallery on my phone?
Size can be a problem (ooer! etc). I can’t drag pictures to a post; they’re rejected as too big. I’m on a Mac, using Photos, and found that exporting them to the desktop (or any directory) first as ‘large’ seems to work.
Gunn Welcome to the family. Great intro. Smashing photos right colour for the peeps here in the asylum. Black is one of the best colours. Joe.
