Aloha ! I had a 1959 Trophy 650 when I was in the military back in the early 70s, the only bike I've ever laid down after a late night and too many beers at the NCO club. After getting out of the military when Vietnam ended I picked up a 1969 Bonnie and rode it through college and beyond ! Also during that late 70s-80s, I also had a 1972 Kawasaki 500 Mach III and somehow managed not to kill myself on that thing .... Just damn lucky I didn't have enough $$ (or the wife's OK) at the time to buy the '72 Kawasaki Z1 or I likely wouldn't have survived....... there are still nights when the Ring A Ding Ding echos in my dreams & nightmares ! Then I was out of riding for many years for a variety of reasons and returned to riding when I retired in 2013. I currently have a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 .... Which is an absolute blast to ride but my heart has always belonged to Triumph ! So, I just picked up a 2015 Bonnie SE and I'm back in Triumph-Land !!
Welcome to the forum! A visit to the Hawaiian Islands is on my bucket list, always liked the look of the place. A nice looking Bonnie you have there, great colour scheme.
Mahalo Nui Loa ! It's a nice place with nice people if you can get used to the 22-29C temps 24/7 .... all year long !!
Stillsurfin Welcome to the family. Both great bikes and great intro. You will have to send some pictures of fantastic location. Joe.
Aloha, @Stillsurfin', and welcome to the forum. And back to Triumph-Land! Great intro and I love that rainbow photo. Not to mention the Bonnie and Interceptor pics. Well, and the chocolates. Hope you enjoy that new Bonnie--and the forum! I've been to Hawaii a few times to scuba dive (the Big Island) and was on Oahu and Kawaii way (w-a--y) back in college. SOOOO beautiful! More photos of Hawaii would be most appreciated.
Aloha & Mahalo Sandi !! Sandi .... my wife & partner of 46 years spells her name the same way, with an "i" not a "y". You must get some great riding in Tucson area ...... open roads, vast horizons, and spectacular sunsets !! Looking forward to riding there someday .... but, it's a hella wet ride to there from here !!
How cool that your wife is also spells her name with an "i". We don't see it that way very often! Yes, the riding in Tucson is excellent....and you named three of the many reasons. The photo you posted is beautiful! I've seen the desert and roads and sky look like that many times. I love the desert. I'll bet you'd love the riding here and hopefully one day you'll be able to do just that. But, as you said, it's a hella wet ride to here from there!
