Long time rider, new Triumph owner. I have been riding since 1965, a couple of Yamaha 2 strokes to start. Then moved on to Airheads after which a break for a few years. Then about 7 years a ago I got a used Sportster that I rode for a couple of years. Then I wanted to do more long distance riding and moved up to a Twin cam. Then I moved on to a big block Guzzi and added a small block Guzzi. The big block, Audace, got to ackward for me due to the weight, 33* headstock angle and 67" wheelbase. I traded it in on a '22 Bonneville T120. I have only been able to put 500 miles on it so far, winter afterall. I am loving it so far, lighter and easier to handle at slow speeds. I sure miss not having a driveshaft or a belt. The last chain drive bike I owned was over 50 years ago and I had kind of forgotten how much of a mess they make and the care they require. Maybe when I have a few $'s to throw around I will look into a belt conversion. As far as forums go I am a regular on Wildguzzi.com. Since I acquired the Bonneville I have looked at others and prowled around here for a bit and decided I will hang out more and contribute and ask a few questions in the appropriate places. kk
Greetings and welcome to the forum, @moparnut72. Thanks for the informative intro and for the photo of that Bonnie. Good looking bike. I think you'll find a number of interesting, knowledgable, and helpful folks here. Please do contribute!
Moparnut72 Welcome to the family. What a great intro. And the picture is excellent thanks for sharing. Yes you will like it here. Great peeps and so so helpful. They got it all some very clever inmates and good humour and leg pulling and straight forward conversing. Joe.
