2-3 construction workers {wolf whistles}, 3 dogs{barking}, 2 roosters {crowing}. No Partridges, yet.

 

L thinks of nothing but murder.

 

We are dog sitting my daughter and granddaughter's mutt, Ashley, a blond mixed pit.

She and our pit, Meka, are getting along famously!

 

We had two cockatiels years ago. Noel, a yellow, and Baby, a gray. Noel was the sweetest thing. She would cuddle, perch on your shoulder all day, make herself big, with wings outstretched and swagger toward the dog. She never talked, but had a repertoire of whistles, including the wolf whistle, the Andy Griffith Show tune and others. Baby, on the other hand, was a monster, Satan's cockatiel. If you went near the cage she'd hiss angrily and snap at your hand if you extended a finger to perch on, then go ballistic in the cage. One day I decided that all this bird needed was to be held and shown she wasn't going to be harmed. I was just going to reach in and gently wrap my hand around her and take her from the cage. I wish I'd had a chain mail glove. I still have the scars.

 

We haven't seen much of others' pets recently. I'm missing the animals photos! Let's see if I can get this thread rolling again with this pic of Ellie this morning. She loves to start her day playing with and surrounded by her toys.

 

This was my seat until i'd got it nice and warm, i then made the schoolboy error of getting up to make a cup of tea

Meka does not like change. If anything in the yard is out of place, or God forbid, there is something new in the yard, she will charge and bark at it fiercely.

Here she is closely inspecting the fire box of the new park-style BBQ grill I am in the process of installing after haranguing it and letting it know she is aware of its presence and warning it not to make any false moves.

 

Ellie seems to have decided that sleeping on her back is pretty comfy. She also likes to hang her head off her bed no matter what position she sleeps in. Never a dull moment with this pup.......

 

Here's one of mine. Vinny is a 3 year old saluki x greyhound with the brains of a brick but plenty of character (he chases helicopters).

 

Here's my other one. Roxy is a 5 year old dog x pig. Her hobbies include eating and finding more food

Not much of a story. My wife spends half of most days at her parents field and the dogs are free to do what they want. Every time a helicopter flies over, Vinny will chase it down the field. Depending on his mood, he'll also çhase cars along the hedge sometimes.

 

I'm sure chasing helicopters keeps in great condition.
