Tietzer hurricane Welcome to the family. Wanted a Triumph you say and boy have you got one prize winning steed there. Most people just get to dream of owning a rare steed of that calibre. Good luck and enjoy the beast. Joe.
I have a Hurricane tank hanging in my garage, been there for many years. Heavy thing, has a steel tank inside.
Trying to find a good service manual for the hurricane. I figured this one would probably cover it, but not sure. Any ideas?
Yep that's a good manual, just remember you have a R3 engine if it makes any difference to specs. The Hurricane is my lottery win bike so i probably will never own one. I first saw one as a spotty 15 yr old youf, i think it was Earls Court 1972. A mate bought one in about 75/76 it was a nice ride but a pain for distance runs as he had to keep stopping for fuel. Enjoy it mate.
Hello Again! In case anyone was wondering I did get the bike running with the help of a great local motorcycle shop. They have been restoring and racing vintage triumph's since the 50's! Wordens Bikes located in Canal Fulton OH. The bike is strong and sounds amazing! Even got to show it for the first time at Fuel Cleveland!
They are such a great looking bike in the flesh. So pretty. I'm sorely tempted by a repro BSA as my pockets are just not deep enough.
I saw one last year ! It was for sale in a small motorcycle dealers , price $15,000 or ~£7,000 in Midland Perth WA ...
