T120 Lc Bonneville Fender / Light Mods

Hello all, I own a T120 LC Bonneville and want to make some mods, mainly to the rear end. Firstly, I do not want to go with a tail tidy and secondly, I want to keep the OEM grab rail. I want to fit polished alloy front and rear fenders - I'm looking at the Motone long reach rear fender to give a bit more overhang than the bobbed version. The problem i'm finding is most of the light / indicator kits (such as the Arizona) seem to cater for AC Bonnies and that includes the accompanied plug and play loom adaptors. Also most seem to have issues if you want to keep the grabrail (even some of the tail tidys wont allow this) I'd like the Lucas look and to change the blinkers but keep them in the same place. Has anybody out there carried out a similar rear end modification to their LC Bonnie and if so, what if any issues did you encounter ? I don't mind drilling / fitting but am not keen to start splicing into wires etc !! The guys at Squaredeals have been helpful but unable to advise on whether their AC kits would fit my LC - I've had less success with Motone - their customer service is not at all responsive !! Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated.

 

Thanks - What set up did you go for ? I plan to use the LR alloy fender but I can't see a Lucas light kit with the blinkers that will do what I want - I could re-locate them to the rear shock mounts but would prefer to keep them with the rear light - It's also not clear whether the lights will clear the rear grab rail that I want to keep - I've emailed the question and they haven't responded - I managed to speak to someone too but they weren't very knowledgeable or helpful ! Their customer Service is almost non existent ! There is a Lucas style light / indicator brackets / licence plate holder but fits AC bikes only and I'm concerned the loom adaptor will be wrong. But hey-ho, I'll get there in the end. Thanks again for your input.

 

I'll try Instagram then - Real nice bike by the way - I like your set-up - and really helpful to see the pics of the grab rail etc - I was hoping that if I went for the Long Reach (rather than bobbed) option on the fender, it would allow more room for the rear light to clear. Thanks for your input, much appreciated. I found Frank at Squaredeals very helpful and was very positive when I asked him about returning stuff although, I haven't had to do that yet !! Motone, on the other hand were unresponsive to emails but responded almost instantly (thanks PT100 !) when I messaged them on Instagram ! I guess it's all about the image rather than customer service, for them at least.
