I've volunteered to help try to sell various motorcycle related articles on behalf of a - uhmm - "mature" former motorcyclist. This man got into motorcycles for a while some years ago when already long past the first (or even last) flush of youth. The passion endured for a while but business, family and home commitments all took their toll and 'the motorcycle years' came to an end a few years ago. It seems that the motorcycle gear was packed up and left carefully stored - probably in either a loft or garage - and, whilst it is all still in clean, excellent condition, there is a faint musty smell to some of it that will require some airing before some of these items are put to good use.

My personal involvement is undertaken only on the basis that any and all of the money made from the sale is divided equally between two charities and Gift Aid supplemented :-

    1. DEVON AIR AMBULANCE
    2. DEVON FREEWHEELERS (Blood Bike services)

Both charities have a clear link to the hobby that we all love and are highly deserving of any contribution we might be able to make to their funds.

All of the items appear to be of very good quality and bear little to no visible signs of wear and it would, in my opinion, be needlessly wasteful to simply discard this stuff or send it to landfill which was going to be the default option. The man and his wife are 6ft and 5ft 2ins respectively and of medium build.

So, the items available are as follows :-

TEXTILE RIDING SUITS - his and hers

REV'IT Textile riding suits, both have black and grey jackets with black trousers; both have jacket-to-trouser zip connections and both have diamond quilted, zip-in thermal linings for jacket and trousers :-

HIS :- Jacket Size L, replaceable armour fitted to back; shoulders; elbows. The jacket measures approximately 24" across the chest (outside measurement taken just below armpit seam); and 30" from the top of the collar to the bottom of the 'tail'. The jacket has an elasticated waist; 4 external and 1 internal pocket; 2 zipped vents to the front, and zips for a liner and connection to trousers; reflective stripe details to sleeves and back; soft rolled collar.

There are matching, all black trousers in Cordura, size XL. Elasticated waist, 3/4 velcro closed belt; zipped front pockets; knee and hip armour. Approximate measurements taken of outside leg measurement 40"; inside leg measurement 31"; storm flap, gusseted, zipped fly; gusseted zipped ankle with velcro tab.

    IMG-20220120-WA0008.jpg

HERS :- Jacket Size XS, all details as per above .... except for size (obviously!)

The matching trousers are slightly different to those described above as "HIS" insomuchas they're not labelled as cordura. They are size L and have a full length fabric belt with snap-lock plastic buckle; the pockets are zipped and stormflap protected; hip and knee armour; gusseted zipped ankle with two straps per leg.

    GLOVES.

HIS :- SWIFT LEATHERS size XL, labelled "KEVLAR"; all leather; fully lined; elasticated wrist; long cuff with velcro closure; protective layers to knuckles and finger tops; black with gold stitching. In excellent, light wear only condition.

    IMG-20220120-WA0019.jpg

    IMG-20220120-WA0020 - Copy.jpg

HERS :- size XS, REV'IT labelled "schoeller" 'KEVLAR'; all leather; fully lined; elasticated wrist; long cuff with velcro closure; protective layers to knuckles and finger tops; black, graphite and indigo. In excellent, near unmarked condition.
    IMG-20220120-WA0022(1).jpg
    IMG-20220120-WA0003.jpg

    BOOTS.

HIS :- size 43; label on the outside says "VERATEX" but I don't think that's the manufacturer. Size 43; modern touring type boots; Skywalk labelled soles. Look like they're probably waterproof - leather and synthetic suede(?). Some wear marks to the "cuff" on the boot top but otherwise very light use marking.

    IMG-20220120-WA0024.jpg

HERS :- size 39 - but, please note, my wife said these are a small and narrow size 39; Skywalk labelled soles; no indication of manufacturer; virtually no sign of wear.

    HELMETS.

Yeah, I know, who'd buy a secondhand helmet, right? Well, these are in extremely good condition and, in view of the age and nature of the owners, I'm pretty sure they're as good as anything that's been in a shop stock room for the past few years!

VEMAR VSS FULL FACE, size 56; ACU GOLD; BLUE/BLACK AND WHITE; chin vent; top vents; clear snap in faceshield, soft helmet bag.

NOLAN X-LITE N-91, size L; vented top, open face with clear, snap-in, hinged, full cover faceshield.

HIS'n'HERS .... well, sort of. OXFORD SPORTS FABRIC PANNIERS, throwover type; aerodynamic shape; expandable; covers, straps etc. included; very little sign of use and all zips, fasteners, etc., working.

**** ADDENDUM **** Apologies - I didn't realise there wasalimitation on the number of pictures alloowable per message ........ so ... I'll start another message but will simply add the remainng, relevant pictures and contact information.

Ladies Boots. The embossed name on the front is a stylised representation of the word "WIND". No, really!

So, the only thing missing is ..... the money, of course!

    My thinking is :-

    Men's jacket and trousers £50 both;
    Woman's jacket and trousers £50 both;

Gloves £25 per pair, either pair. ** MENS PAIR NOW SOLD **

    Mens boots £20

Women's boots £35 (these really are like new)

    Vemar full face helmet £15

Nolan open face helmet £15 ** NOW SOLD **

OXFORD SPORTS pannier set £35 ** NOW SOLD **

PLEASE NOTE THAT POSTAGE WILL BE CHARGED AT WHATEVER IS THE ACTUAL COST. COLLECTION IS, OF COURSE, OPTIONAL AND FREE AND I'D BE WILLING TO DO A MEET AND HANDOVER AT EITHER Jct. 26 (WELLINGTON) or 27 (TIVERTON) OF THE M5 OR POSSIBLY IN EXETER ON A SATURDAY BY ARRANGEMENT.

Might well be open to (sensible) offers on multiple purchases .... BUT, please remember ALL of the proceeds will be going to charity so you really don't want to be cheaping out on them, do you? ;)

To skinny and lanky for me I'm afraid, but wish you well on your charity sale @Adie P , to be honest all still looks good and a real shame to end up in land fill as you say.
