Touring Bikes packed for Scotland pity about the weather.

Both Triumphs loaded and packed, hotels booked 400 miles to ride and it's blowing a gale here, trees bent double in the wind and rain lashing down :frown:
Think the Mrs is nervous about even setting off..... Here's hoping things improve.

Fantastic week away, weather was kind, roads were great. Will post a few photos up when I get a bit of time but have bikes to clean and lawns to mow. The Speed and Street triples proved to be more than capable touring machines with about 1800 miles covered. Only slight downside is I now have a slight vibration when applying the front brake (may have warped the discs :frown but will get it into the dealer and let them check it out.

 

We made our base at the Inn at Ardgour which is next to the Loch and a short ferry ride from the main Fort Wiliam road. Rode up near Sky, Mull, Applecross and the Caimgorms.
So many great empty roads and my all time favourite road must be Inverrary to Oban. Done a bit of filming with the GoPro and hope I have some good footage on my SD cards.

The sunset below is the view from the Inn where we were staying at about 10.30pm and the shot below is the Inn at Ardgour (a great place by the way). The boat that had seen better days a few hundred yards past the Inn
