Have wanted one ever since the Yammie XS750. My Moto2 with 800 miles will be my first road bike that's not a liter bike! Picking it up Thursday.
Not sure what you are referencing? Anyway welcome to the forum. When you get your bike share some pictures
Tripler Welcome to the family. Yes would like to see the bike in picture. Of course when you stop playing and grinning. Here in the asylum we love bike pictures and it keeps the inmates quite while nursey dishes out the meds. Joe
#88 with 777 miles. Picking it up tomorrow. Bought Michelin Road 5's; keeping the softees for the track. Haven't ridden it yet. Already have Sato's excellent frame protectors. Will put them on same time as the cat eliminator pipe. They changed the oil to full synthetic, but I plan to remove it and put in a really good natural oil (Quaker State) and heat cycle it with increasingly harder acceleration. Unfortunately, too cold for a track day. May wait until spring to break it in properly
Had just finished a 1300 mile trip (quickly!) from Oklahoma through the Ozark mountains, Tennessee and Appalachian mountains. Fantastic sport tourer!
Your choice, clearly, but could you explain why you're thinking of changing to natural oil as everything I have read states that fully synthetic is far better for your engine. Be interested to get your take on it.
I agree, AFTER it is broken-in. Synth is too slippery to wear the surfaces effectively for a good break-in. After running medium hard, then hard, then balls out WOT to redline multiple times, with complete cool down time between, I will use a synth/natural blend from Lubrication Engineers for superior longevity. Litre bikes require a track; this might be able to be done on the road with this smaller engine. (I never had a road bike under 999cc) I use it in everything, not changing for 10k miles in my BMW cars which both have over 300k. LE sells to companies' fleets, not to end consumers. I've felt the difference on track-days; smoother, more power, cooler. this oil is simply amazing. i buy it in 5 gallon buckets. this 'model' is now sold as "diesel engine oil" due to some nonsensical gooberment regulation: Monolec Ultra® Engine Oil 8130 - 8131 On Lubrication Engineers (lelubricants.com) Triumph specifies 10-40.
Greetings, Tripler, and welcome to the forum. Love your new Moto2! Thanks for sharing the photo with us.
Hi Tripler and welcome to the forum, what a fantastic bike to own, I tried one out at my local Triumph dealer as I really wanted one, unfortunately the riding position was to cramped, it was ok for short periods but not for longer rides so I opted for another new 765RS, post some pictures when you pick it up.
