Hi all, after 12 years of riding sports bikes I've finally decided at the age of 39 that my body isn't cut out for the riding position anymore. After having tested several bikes the only 2 that really offered the comfort I needed were the Explorer and the GS Adventure. Didn't like the way the Adventure rode so took the plunge today and traded in my R6 for a 2016 model Explorer XR.

It was registered in December as it has 500 miles on it but I got it for a good price and having heated grips and the new Expedition top box fitted before I pick up.

Don't have a date yet but need to sort out the finances etc and hopefully pick it up soon!

Will probably have a lorry load of questions to ask and hope to get to know everybody!

    Welcome,

Them explorers are a big old unit eh?

Nice looking thing, but they seem WAY too big for me.

Enjoy the brand...Triumph make excellent bikes - way better than the rice burners.;)

Hi and welcome to the forum.
The Explorer is a great bike - I borrowed a mates for two weeks and loved it. Just a bit too big for me so opted for a Tiger XRX instead.
