Hi all, I could not resist the charm of a cafe racer and recently traded in my Harley forty eight 1200x for a new 2020 Thruxton RS Showcase! I only have a 100 miles in it but am in love with the throttle response and torque at every stage. Dreaming of mods.. ordered a tail tidy kit and thinking of apex 3” risers until 1st service. Colder weather is starting in Seattle, and can’t wait for Spring. Lots of great information on this forum and looking forward to happy riding and writing.

Welcome to the family. When you stop playing and grinning do hit the upload a file button bottom right corner and show of the steed to the inmates here in the asylum.

    Welcome!
Just made the move myself from a 2006 HD Sportster Custom to a 2021 Speed Twin. Have loved every minute and 400 miles of it!
I’m in North Texas so temperatures are great now.

Thanks for the warm welcome from Lincolnshire to North Texas and everywhere in between. Did a short run when the sun popped out for an hour this afternoon. Here is a picture of the steed, chilling it’s heels in the cool autumn breeze.

Thanks again and it is great to be here. I have been soaking in the wealth of information on this forum. Amazing to see threads from Peter (Meerkat) and others. I particularly enjoyed the Baffleoctomy thread :).

A modern classic motorcycle meets historic classic locomotive: a 1907 steam rotary snowplow.

Installed a FEK to remove the bulky rear mudguard.

Greetings and welcome to the forum, @Thruxtor! I'm a bit late to the welcome party but have enjoyed reading a bit about your new Thruxton, your switch from the "48", and the FEK mod you've done. Glad to know you're enjoying the bike so much! I had a 2016 Thruxton R but traded it about three years ago for a 2019 Speed Triple RS which I love. BUT...of all the bikes I've had and now don't, I've said that the Thruxton R is the one I'd most like to have back. Have fun with yours! Love that photo of your bike and the 1907 steam rotary snow plow.
