It all normally ends in tears,so I'll keep my opinions to myself.

I'm out for one reason and one reason only.
That's because it will likely trigger a referendum in Scotland on independance.
Normally I would vote to stay in as I believe we get more from being part of Europe than we put in.
Example all those nice car manufacturing jobs are either now owned by European companies or built here so companies don't have to pay massive import costs.
Europe next to the UK is our biggest market so we will now be more expensive for selling our goods/services to Europe. There go more jobs.
Yes I truly think England will vote out , so that one country will take the entire UK out of Europe.
There are other examples but my reason for voting out is the main one above. We are about to shoot ourselves in the foot imv by voting out.

    I'm out too.

I'm getting a bit fed up with the "In" propaganda. It seems their campaign focus's on frightening voters to stay in - Recession, WW3, Increased unemployment, Drop in property value, rather than focusing on how to address the problems that currently exist within the EU being highlighted by the "Out" campaign.

For me the single most important benefit of the European Union is that for a period of over 70 years, that has been peace in Western Europe. Peace means stability, stability encourages growth and development.

I am but that's not what annoyed me. Basing the decision on Religion makes no sense to me.

That's me done for this thread as I don't want to fall out with anyone!

I don't disagree that we have had 70 years of peace inside the EU. But there is no grounds for assuming that peace will not continue after the UK leaves the EU. We will still be a member of NATO.

There has of course been plenty of conflicts outside of the EU, Faulklands, Iraq, Afganistan etc for which little was said by the EU.

I think the thread is still valid. It's interesting to hear the views of forum members as long as they are not inflammatory.

This thread like many others I have read seems to favour "Out". We could see history being made next month.

I already have done !! I reported my own post , also asked for it to be removed by an administrator, I apologised, I cant do any more than that.
Only done this because I didnt really give any thought to posting the picture and it wasn't my intention to offend anyone when I posted it in the first place,
Celebrating your birthday and posting on forum's dont mix !!!

I've no issue with the topic being discussed on the forum, it's the biggest decision anyone in the UK is going to make.

My view is a purely democratic one; I want to elect a government that can directly govern the country and at the end of its term if it's policies are no good then I want to be able to vote it out. If we stay in European Union closer integration is going to happen and we will have less and less influence on how our country is run.

True enough but not through the actions or more realistically lack of action from the EUSSR. The creation of NATO was and still is the real stabilizing force that has kept the peace in Europe.

I voted against joining the 'Common Market' oh so many years ago, I also voted OUT when we had the last referendum under Chairman Harold. I never wanted it, never understood why we are in it, and to date 'Camoron' and Co's arguments for staying in the EUSSR have not or ever will convince me that it's the right thing to do. Says it all really
