Hello ! I'm new to the forum, I'm interested in replacing my suzuki vstrom 650 for a tiger 900 gt I'm looking to learn about the tiger I do not like going to the dealers, I do all the service myself, but I fear a new model may have problems that may require an expensive part replaced, and the dealer will not be happy unless I'm doing the services with them. Just went on a bit of off-road ride with a group, a couple of tiger 900 rally were part of the group and they seem way more competent than the large BMW gs a large KTM 1290 , and the couple of middle weight v-stroms Cheers!
Hi and welcome to the forum. The new Tiger 900's are as complicated electronically as any modern bike. I wouldn't have thought that you could service it yourself without affecting the 2 year warranty.
Since you are interested in doing the service on your own bike check out this thread (link below). It can help you to reset the service light when it comes to servicing your bike. It took me a couple of days trying to figure this out because there isn't very much current info on how to reset the light. https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/1200-scrambler-xe-service-light-reset.29015/
Hi Armando and welcome to the forum Great pic of your current ride, I bet the excitement of waiting to collect your new Triumph is biting looking forward to seeing your ride and hearing about your enjoyment
The tiger is home ! Love the handling and the engine sound Feels smaller than the vstrom, not by much, but certainly lighter and more nimble
