I currently have 2 bikes, a zzr600 Kawasaki and a Tiger 955i. The Tiger is to replace my Yamaha 900 TDM (stolen and burnt out). I 've noticed (being on the lanky side) that the wind turbulence and noise over 60mph is terrible on the Tiger 955i. Which screen/extender do the fellow tall riders recommend to fix this? I have some big tours coming up and I'd like to address the problem ASAP. Thank you very much for any response, I will of course be exploring the various options anyway and hopefully get a satisfactory result. All the best to all bikers and cyclists out there.

Welcome to the forum... if you're stuck for a quick fix, remove the windscreen altogether.

Thanks for the welcome everyone and the advice about removing the screen altogether. I've been doing some research on aerodynamics and there seems to be an agreement that having a gap at the bottom of the screen, allowing air to pass through reduces the vacuum effect and reduces some of the turbulence and vortices.

From my experience of riding nakeds for many years , there was far less turbulence and buffeting; you increased speed and the force of wind increased proportionately, and gradually you increase your lean into it. Now of course I'm a lot older and not as flexible , plus the Tiger 955i is a sit up position.
Ideally, I will experiment to find the best solution for me and other tall riders, hopefully with some form of shield that reduces wind noise, increases comfort and keeps a few rain drops at bay...

Yep I'm going to try that and reattach with spacers to allow air through the bottom. I'll post to let folk know how I got on.

    Hi Galluses,
For a minute I thought you meant the wind turbulence was from when you were walking about!
Anyway, you think 6’ 5” is tall?
    I’m 5’ 6”, now, that IS tall!
    Welcome, Ken.

Welcome to the family. Nice steeds but can't help with screens sorry. Do hit the upload a file button bottom right corner and show of the steed to the inmates here in the asylum.
    Joe.
