Hi Guys, Damo here from the Cardiff area...............Excuse flag on my profile but I work in the Middle East. Bought myself my first Triumph (Speed Triple RS 2019) in white at the start of July from Youles in Manchester and took her back to Cardiff. Still running it in as the bike had only 444 miles on the clock when I picked it up. First impressions, great bike, super easy to just get on and ride. Seat not the comfiest for long hauls (160 miles back to Cardiff only stopping once for fuel). In general very happy with my purchase. Will look at the bike when I'm home as when using the QS it seems to not want to go from 4-5 when under a bit of load and pops out and hits the limiter before going back into 4th; however, I'm not expecting it to be a mega issue, especially when I can take it to Triumph in Cardiff and get them to have a good look. Looking forward to getting some miles in and some track days and also learning about the bike and meeting some new biking pals Damo
Damien Matthews Welcome to the family. Do hit the upload a file button bottom right corner and show of the steed to all the inmates here in the asylum. Joe.
Greetings and welcome to the forum from a fellow 2019 Speed Triple RS (and white!) owner, Damien. Sounds like you love the bike already. I certainly do love mine. I recommend that you check out a couple of threads about the QS on this model here on the forum. Some have had a lot of issues and others (myself included) not so much. But I did have a new shifter arm installed by my dealership shortly prior to a warranty recall on the part so you may want to check whether than was done to your bike prior to sale. I've had no issues but, as I said, others have. And, as Joe McDonald said, we here on the forum love photos so please post a couple of your new Speed Triple RS for us!
Welcome to the forum As @Sandi T says, check out the threads on the QS. Just incase you might damage the gearbox.
Hi bud! As per the above from the posts, please don't ignore the QS problems as there have been a few of them suffering (me too from 4-5th) but no bang yet with qs. However, I did get a bang once when I didn’t have it on yet so please get it checked!
Thanks guys for the warm welcome. I will check out the threads and have a look. Didn't get many pictures at all when I was home as I was running around also trying to renovate the house during my 3 weeks off, but I'll see what I have and will endeavour to get more.
