Hi I am new here. My name is Gord and I live in Ottawa Ontario Canada. I ride a 2014 Triumph Thunderbird Storm. I hope to learn some useful technical tip and tricks as it relates to the Storm. My primary quest is to learn more about an annoying belt chirp I have. I also would like to know how to jack this bike up to get the back wheel off of the ground to possibly adjust the belt tension. I may be missing something but it appears as though the entire underneath of the bike is engine and related engine parts. I have no idea what jack is best for this bike. Cheers
GordC Welcome to the family. Want to change places with me. I love Canada with a passion. Nice steed you have there. I used to lift my Harleys with a car jack the rolling type used to put a bit of soft wood of foam on the jack and it did the trick. Do hit the upload a file button bottom right corner and show the inmates the steed. Here in the asylum we love bike pictures. Joe.
Thanks Joe. Perhaps in the next couple of days I'll get around to posting a couple of photos of my scooter. I'm sure there are several types of jacks I might be able to use to get my back wheel off of the ground but if you are not familiar with the Storm, there is no visible frame under the bike as a jacking point. I'm not technically inclined with many aspects of bike maintenance but it appears that if I was to try and jack anyplace under the bike I would likely damage something. I'll continue my investigation. Thanks for saying hello.

GordC One of the more sensible inmates will be along soon to rectify your query. I am not one of them i wait till they fix the problem then say that was my next suggestion. I am sure there is a lifting mechanism out there designed for the Storm. Try googling lift for triumph storm you never know. Joe
