Hi all. Found this forum while looking for answers to some questions I had about the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro. In 2014 I quit my job, sold everything, bought a Triumph Tiger Explorer XC and learned how to ride a motorcycle, never having ridden before. Two months later I pointed south from Olympia, Washington and ended up traveling to 140 countries (not all on my bike but over 100) over a five year period of time. I logged more than 100,000km on my Explorer XC and I will never part with it the rest of my life. I am a diehard Triumph fan and just purchased a new Tiger 900 Rally Pro in Switzerland which I plan to keep in Europe so I can ride on that side of the pond each year. Hope to get there in September to pick up the new bike and ride in Europe for a few months this fall. Hoping to do all of Africa in a year or 2 depending on world conditions. While I hope to get help from other experienced riders in this forum to questions I may have I am also happy to share what I have learned along the way. Cheers, The Manic Nomad (Dave)
Dave Lovely Welcome to the family Dave. Well you got some plans there. I think all the inmates here would love to be like that a little bit. Yes do keep us all entertained by your travels and all the best of Irish luck to you. Joe.
Welcome in Dave, sounds like your the fountain of advice my friend, however we may add the odd joke or two. Living the dream it seems you've definitely got the T shirt on that one.
Hope you went through the drive thru on your Triumph to make the barista all jealous! But if you did please let me know your trick for storing the drink. I never figured that one out yet
Hi and welcome, you certainly have made some beautiful memories. It would be amazing if you could start a thread and post some pictures and stories about your adventures. Edit: I had a look at your blog https://manicnomads.com/ makes interesting reading
Thanks. Yep, that's my website. Haven't been doing much with it the past few years as you can imagine. But hopefully the adventure will continue again soon.

Greetings and welcome to the forum, Dave! Wow, what an amazing thing to quit your job, sell everything, and hit the road. I just saw this thread so haven't yet looked at your website but am looking forward to seeing and reading about some of your travels. As Wessa suggested, it would be great if you'd start and thread and share some of your photos and stories with us here on the forum.
Thanks. Hoping to be able to contribute in a positive way. Never used a forum before so will need to figure it all out.
