Not the best thing to talk about. But I need to let it go. A couple of weeks ago I was talking to my friend Ian we had been searching for a bike for him and he tried a fair few. But with his hips he found them uncomfortable. We had found the 660 and he loved it and was excited waiting for Bulldog to get a white one. He left me and went home smiling. He had Stroke and died. I just can't get it out of my head. Sorry but I had to tell someone.
    Joe.

Very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, Joe. As Dawsy says, it's good that your last contact left him smiling.

    Oh Joe,
What horrible news. My thoughts go out to you and Ians family. Take some comfort knowing he was happy and excited by the prospect of a new bike before the end.

Joe, I am so sorry on the loss of your friend, Ian. What tragic and sad news. As others have said, think on how you were a great friend to him and helped his (unexpectedly) last days be happy ones. And as Dawsy said, take comfort from those you love.

That's awful news.. My best mate Brian (who was fit as a fiddle) collapsed in the garden a couple of years ago and died of a bleed on the brain before the ambulance got him to hospital. That was exactly 2 years ago. He was only 62. So I do know exactly how you are feeling at the moment.

    Best wishes Joe.

Sorry Joe. I think about all the friends and family members I've lost and still miss them. But after a time I'm able to think of them with less sadness and often times a smile. I hope and believe that you have same results.

Sorry joe. Nice to hear that he had a smile at the thought of a bike again and just remember that happy smile.

Sad news Joe. None of us are born with a guarantee to live forever. Lost a son a number of years back suddenly. He was 29. It hurts. I do not believe they are suffering. They are just sleeping. I try to keep a positive memory of my son. Think of the things you enjoyed together. Took me a few years to come to terms with my loss. You will probably experience some of the same. Focus on the positives. Sometimes it is a tough thing to deal with. ...J.D.

Oh that’s awful Joe. I’m lost for words. At least he passed away with positive thoughts and a will to ride.

Thankyou every one. You all got tears back in my eyes. I love you all. With Ian it was so unexpected he didn't drink nor smoke and was so happy. I just needed to tell someone and thanks for reaching out for me. I had a tremendous email from our Sandi T and you know it lifted me so much.
    Love
    Joe.

One of the tough parts of getting old Joe. You outlive people you care about. Get out there and live to the full man. Your buddy Ian would want you to do that, I'm sure. ...J.D.

Hi Joe, sorry for delay, but I have only just read your sad post, So sorry for your loss.
The really kind words that you wrote to me on the loss of my mate Brett only a few weeks ago helped me enormously.
Maybe Ian is riding on a shiny 660 somewhere on sunny dry roads with my mate Brett on his green 10R and I bet they are smiling at the reality of our riding on wet, greasy roads with loads of traffic and a steamed up visor.
    Take care best wishes
    RetTh'ed
