I sprayed some base coat to the positive plugs this afternoon, If I have time maybe i can make the negative moulds this weekend..
@El Vikingo Tropical you need to get a life. Whilst you may be a tremendously talented engineer and mechanic (like @Iron and others) it may be said that you need to get out more… If you can’t face the prospect of being normal (neither can I), perhaps you could at least be persuaded to do a custom job for me? Maybe @Iron could add to the mix with his artistic talent. Send me a message when ur ready to ship the finished bike to me. Many thanks CB
Wow, you are saying he won’t make me a super custom and intricately engineered motorcycle? I am sure @El Vikingo Tropical would be horrified by what you said. I think he’s already heading for his workshop as I type getting started on my new bike! Edit: @Bikerman , on reflection I am living I a dream world.
You’re right I feel very unhappy building toys to my self . Therefor I’m building one bike and 14mtr motor home as gift to my sister and converting my Austin A40 Countryman to a weekend camper...
Ok, so you are a bit busy at the moment. But you aren’t ruling out doing a bike or camper van for me later (maybe infinitely later)… On a serious note, you do great work. It’s a pleasure to see what you have achieved.
When I was younger I just build the bikes/cars to go faster, Now days I enjoy the building process and It doesn’t matter who is the last pulling the brakes or coming out corners first! It’s like cooking, when I was younger I cook just to have something to eat, this days I take my time trying making something special, Just to taste the flavours, colours sounds of each day.. Just for pleasure
Finally I received the package , But as I’m such Triumph specialist I ordered wrong exhaust pipes. My fault I’m afraid I didn’t know there was several fittings for the T140! The rest of items was correct and great I This weekend went to a hotel with my wife so won’t do nothing at the bike until next week
Well I’m back at my basement making some small things at the bike, Testing mufflers, sent the seat for upholstery ...
I painted the side panel positive plugs (moulds), so now they are ready for make the final negative moulds
The final negative moulds was made over the plugs. And the CF was baked! The side panels is now finished and ready for base coat and some nice green colour
Mmmm Not at the moment but you never know I have in mind painting the covers this weekend but I still haven’t made my mind up about the design. But I do as always, I just begin doing and something always pops up
This afternoon I finished instrument cluster, I used the original central part fitting SS barrels for the clocks
No big advances lately just small items like the rear lamp bracket, I needed around 5h to make it with the grinder and file …
I still haven’t finished connecting the electrical switches and equipment, But at least I have sparks at the engine
It runns!!!! I started the engine for first time yesterday, No just missing connect exhaust, fine tuning and MOT!
