    Hi all,

Having some issues fitting a givi pannier rack on my Speed Triple. The instructions (link - http://media.givi.it/XN-Prodotti/istruzioni/TE6402.pdf) say to fit these two small brackets in between the number plate holder and the undercarriage, bascally using the bolts that hold up the original number plate holder. However, the difficulty seems to be that I have an R&G tail tidy fitted. The four bolts that (i think) usually hold up the number plate bracket were actually missing when I took the seat off, though I found four bolts that seemed to fit in a box that the previous owner gave me. However, they don't fit all the way in seemingly due to the tail tidy.

I've attached some photos below - any advice? On a four day trip to Wales next week and will be pretty buggered without my oxford sport panniers...

This is the underside, the brackets hanging down hold the indicators which I have unscrewed

This is under the seat, from the top, as you can see there are currently no bolts in.

    Many thanks,
    Dan

Actually, it appears in your photo that there ARE bolts through the holes that hold the original fender/"shovel"/number plate holder. I've edited your photo and attached it. The locations circled in red are where the factory fender attaches from the underside. The locations circled in yellow are where I believe Triumph accessories such as the grab handle mount.

The thread size and pitch are the same for both sets of holes, though (M8 x 1.25). I used two of the original holes for my tail tidy and threaded the four original bolts through the other holes from the top so I could find them should I want to reverse my work in the future. Otherwise they would disappear into a "bolt bin" in my garage never to be found again!

The Givi pannier rack intrigues me. I'll have to look into it should I get serious about touring with my Speedy!

Brilliant! Thanks very much for your reply. Got very confused as when I tried my large spare M8x1.25x43 bolts in they would fit in the yellow circle holes but were too long! That's very helpful thank you, will go and have a further look tomorrow :)
