Carb Or Efi Which Bike Should I Keep

Keep the one that suits you best.
But take your time, there is no rush. Any time within the next five years should suffice - longer if necessary. As they say .... act in haste repent at leisure.

 

Due to Ethenol in UK fuel increasing to 10% later this year (so I have read on the internet). There is a benefit in keeping the EFI bike

Ethenol in fuel doesn't like solder which I understand is used in carbs, it also degrades old fuel lines and connections.
If stored for over a few weeks it will absorb moisture and start to rot older metal tanks and is really nasty to plastic tanks

So anyone with a bike older than 10 years is at risk

So I would keep the more modern bike; or you have to use fuel additives or source Ethenol free fuel from specialist suppliers for the carb bike

Go with whichever shouts loudest ..... but the sensible (long term) answer has to be EFI - and that's from a carb'd bike lover - least I was until earlier today when I came home on my Daytona 500 twin (up to 4.5k rpm) aka 750 triple (4.5k to 11.5k rpm) which, you guessed it, had just had the carbs. removed, cleaned; checked and balanced ........................ <SIGH> It's going back in - again - next week!!
