Glad to be here! Im from a small town near Milwaukee so most people ride Harleys here. My wife and l dare to be different and love our Triumphs. I've ridden British bikes most of my life. Even worked as a vintage Norton/Triumph mechanic for a time or two. I ride a 12' T Bird. My wife rides a 16' America. Also a 71 Norton Commando and a 70 BSA Lightning chopper (its a beast) I have toyed with the idea of an R3, maybe next bike. Saw a great Carpenter I would like. Spring is here! The Bird is ready to Fly! Talk to Y'all later
Greetings! I used to travel to Waukesha for work quite often and I’ve always thought of hiring a bike on a weekend as it looks pretty good for biking around there! Welcome in and a great selection of rides you have! Pics too please!
NTMU My wife's family is from Eau Claire but we pass thru Milwaukee every year on our way to watch the Indy Cars at Road America.
Welcome to the forum. Love the family bikes! Handsome husband's yellow '71 Norton Commando is a favorite here. Would love to see some pics. Just last night read an old review on the Thunderbird when it was reintroduced in '04 (because another member posted a pic of his gorgeous one) and it made me want to ride that, too! Enjoy the forum and ride safe.
Howdy! Waukesha county is a great place to ride. I recomend it. The roads through and around Kettle Moraine Forest are fantastic. Pics will be coming. Im still getting the winter dust off them
Thank You. Pics are coming. I still have to clean the winter dust off the bikes after routine maintenance. The Commando is undergoing restoration (3rd time) looking forward to completion
Greetings and welcome to the forum, Farmer! I hail from your neck of the woods myself. I'm from a very small town in southwestern MN (pop. 400 these days) and grew up on a farm so, of course, like your forum name. Glad you're moving into spring and riding season. Great stable of bikes you and your wife have. We'd love to see some photos of them. My hubby and I went to Milwaukee for the first time in October of 2019 and visited the H-D Museum. We'd love to return to Wisconsin and do some riding there, especially along the lake. Perhaps I'll pick your brain if and when we make travel plans.
