Hey all. Lurking around, you have a very nice community here. Thank you for the add.

I live in western North Carolina and just picked up a 2009 Triumph Thruxton. I have wanted one of these since the beginning, but for whatever reason, never got around to acquiring one.

I just adore this bike. It has as much soul, if not more than the Harley sportster I had previously. I fortuitously connected with a member of the Africa Twin forum (my other bike is a 2017 manual) who had an Arrow 2-1 system, and a box of never installed TTP parts I was able to purchase. So I look forward to getting that stuff installed.

Im sure I'll have many questions as I familiarize myself with this lovely machine, but just wanted to introduce myself and say hi!

Here she is from Wednesday's ride.

And a couple of my AT. These are from my big trip last fall up the mid Atlantic backroads discovery route, on through the Adirondacks, around lake Champlain, down through VT, and back home again trying to stay on as much dirt and gravel as possible... Camping.

Greetings and welcome to the forum, Amphib! Congrats on that new-to-you Thruxton. I had a 2012 black Thruxton that looked nearly the same as yours save for that very unique exhaust system on your bike. Is there a story to that?

Thanks for the great introduction and beautiful photos! Some of those are poster-worthy. I particular like the 2nd one of your Africa Twin--the one taken head on of the bike on that gorgeous tree-lined road.

Thanks so much everyone. We ended up having a pretty dreary, rainy weekend, so I decided to make the best of it by installing the Arrow, TTP O2 delete, AIS delete, airbox baffle removal, and install the TTP tune 2.

Everything went pretty well. The computer bit was the worst, mostly because of user error in getting drivers to install, but once figured out, the whole process was very smooth.

It looks to me like the bike scraped up against a curb or something which damaged the oem left side header pipe also explains the horizontal scratches on the clutch cover. My guess is that the po removed the damaged silencers and wrapped the pipe to hide the damage. Left side bolts were bent and difficult to remove.

We finally had a break in the weather and was able to get her out for a shakedown ride......I'm blown away. Butt dyno says huge gains, especially mid range. She just wants to keep pulling as the revs climb. What a fun bike! I do like the sound of 2 into 2 exhausts better, but I just couldn't pass up the package deal on all these parts.
