I went ahead and traded my 2013 FJR in for a new 2020 Speedmaster yesterday. I'll post a pic or two tomorrow. It was a warm but windy day and I had a fun ride home. I only muscle memoried my feet on the pipes twice in the first block and after that I mastered the forward positioning of the footpegs. First impressions are very favorable and I'm sure as I relax a bit more I'm going to like the cruiser style riding position.

Congrats on the new 2020 Speedmaster, Steve! That's exciting news. :) Nothing like a new bike to make one feel like a kid again. Looking forward to seeing those photos and hearing more about your thoughts on the bike.

Yes welcome. And a nice laid back steed. And will look forward to the pictures. The inmates here in the asylum do like pictures.

I really enjoyed my FJR but am a bit vertically challenged and would have to wear lineman boots to be flat footed on it and even then felt I could end up dropping it because of that issue. I never did in 8 years of riding it but had a few close calls. So I thought this was my best next step. A bike that is fun and quick, easy handling and better for when you just wanna ride and it's a Triumph! Not to mention I was born in Beech Grove, Indiana at St. Francis hospital allegedly in the same delivery room as the "King Of Cool" Steve McQueen!

Thanks. I like it too but was leaning towards the black with the pinstriping and the wife chose blue. (A small price for having her "on-board")
