Hi all , newbie from Norfolk here , Currently have a new Tiger 900 Gt that I purchased for several long trips. 6-8 week jaunts ,that dream sadly for various reasons I won't bore you with is now not going to happen , so the big plan is to stay fairly local so a change of bike is on the cards . I am liking the speed twin 1200 has anybody lowered one a tad ?. The Tiger will be up for sale if anybody is looking for a used one ,2020 plate , 1200 mils only in the fast white colour.
Yeendy Welcome to the family. You know the tiger is just as good for local jaunts as long journeys. Do hit the upload a file button bottom right corner and show the inmates the beastie. Joe.
Hi Joe thanks for the welcome , the Tiger is a great bike , but I am a bit old school , hence the interest in the Speed twin
I am tempted by your offer but can’t stand the squiffy headlights on the new bikes, so will probably change manufacturing brand in my next purchase. Sorry Mr Bloor but why not have both headlights work (high / low) - I bet no one outside your design team actually asked for such stupid designs. “Oh please Triumph - give me two headlights but make only one work so all my mates say (every time I see them) ‘I think your bulbs broken’”... Yeendy, You are obviously a short arse like me. Bad luck! Buying a big cc bike for short folks is a hassle. I so appreciate the height related question, but still baffled why sell the Tiger? It’s a fine ride, isn’t it? Or is the style the issue?
Not so much a short arse , but I have a few mobility problems , The tiger is a cracking ride , but no looker in my old school eyes , it was purchased for a purpose which it would have been fantastic for . alas I no longer need it , sad to say
Thanks for the welcome chaps , roll on the summer , my other passion is classic bikes , here is my little Honda , and a couple of pics I took while out and about , blimey over a year ago now .
Greetings, Yeendy, and welcome to the forum! Good luck with selling the Tiger and purchasing a different Triumph model. Sorry the Tiger didn't work out for you but hopefully the next bike in the garage will be a keeper! Hope you enjoy the forum. Thanks for sharing those great photos with us!
