Only the original tank size.. Calculations were based on 4.54 litres to Gallons as stated in the actual text...

Ahem! Is there a problem with my bike, or is it just short journeys & choke issues?

You won't know till you compare it with what others do or go for a long ride.. Assume bike is standard no changes to exhaust etc,etc...

But you are basing it on his tank being 4.3 gallons when my resource says its 3.5 gallons.
Based on a full tank of fuel giving 75 miles....

75 miles divided by 4.3 gallons equals 17.4 mpg
75 miles divided by 3.5 gallons equals 21.4 mpg

Either way, its not good fuel consumption but i will agree with screwball in as much that you need to fill the tank & go for a proper ride & see how that compares with your daily commute consumption

You've not read it... Fully....I assumed he filled up before he ran it completely dry... As you normally do... Unless you push it into the garage every time you fill it up...

So assuming he filled up before it was empty 1Gallon reserve..
    75miles divided 2.5 gallons = 30 MPG...
    As mentioned sums were correct....

Getting back to the original question.

I would sugest to do the same a pig and let the bike warm up whilst your getting your gear ready as having the choke out will consume and burn more petrol. Try that for a tank and see if you get a better MPG, if not then check your carbs and see if they're closing properly?

Ok looking on a few other web sites it does seems your is low mpg..
Triumph Bonneville MPG Reports | Fuelly

Is one site I found, plenty others out there as well...

Could it be how your riding?
The twin cylinder engine in the T100 does not really like to be reeved, you should use the torque and change up at low rpm... Doing a short journey is not helping and I still think you should turn of choke as soon as you start riding...
All assumptions of course as no one has seen you ride........

I would suggest working out a proper mpg figure too, were guessing the amount of fuel consumed because your not using 100% of the fuel in the tank as I assume you don't let it run out each time!? If you have a smartphone try downloading the Road Trip Lite app, its free and with a couple of figures each time at the pump it will work out your MPG for you and work it out over over a longer term. If you don't have a smartphone a quick but of maths will help, at least then if you are using too much fuel you will get a better idea of how much you are burning.
