It must have been a terrible disappointment for anyone mistaking it for Tit & Bum Monthly at the newsagents, and then getting it home and finding it was only about motorbikes...

 

Does anyone actually buy gentlemens literature these days?

 

Good point - I don't know. All the pervs in raincoats are probably computer literate these days. Probably before the rest of us in fact...Anyone here care to enlighten us?

 

Our local Mr Patel corner shop still has a top shelf full of "gentleman's literature". Disappointingly all have a sleeve on them, apparently its to protect the children.

 

Years ago a young lad I worked with had his stash discovered by his mum and subsequently had to get rid of it. Have to hand it to him because he brought a box full into work and left it in the toilets. Needless to say it was all gone within the week

 

It wasn't in Hong Kong, was it?

 

I found a bag of about 120 magazines at the town dump in the mid seventies and set about selling them to other teenage enthusiasts but my career as the school smut dealer was cut short by the deputy head master. I was summoned to his office to see two of my 'products' placed in an envelope with a covering letter addressed to my mother. He never sent them but the threat did the job.
Richard Branson didn't have his early promise killed off so quickly but I believe he was selling records.

 

Im sure they were secretly impressed with your entrepreneurial skills

 

And took the sticky paged literature home later...
