ok just popped into Aldis to get some wd40 chain wax/lube, bought their base layer  but noticed they are selling an electric paint sprayer for around £35. Thinking this could make a good ACF50 applicator. Has anyone bought one of these?Any thoughts?

I bought the Aldi base layer - seems good enough quality and has been warm enough the past week.

IMG_0924.JPG I treated my bike to a wash and blow dry with All Year Biker (Richard in Cheshire). The simplest ACF50 application method I could think of!

LOL Yes - I should have said that the foam was part of the wash / degrease stage. The ACF50 application all happened under a shroud of dark cloths and wouldn't have looked so dramatic ;)

Crispey - £65 for the wash, blow, degrease, ACF50 and polish, and a good ole chat. My bike is new, and a) I want to keep it shiny without using any riding time to do so, and b) I've so often thought "I wish I'd done that from new", so I did. I might prep it for winter with another visit in Autumn...

Jeez, I've bought bikes for less than £120.......
It may take a bit of time to clean and polish 'em yourself, but I look at it as time well spent (mainly due to the fact that the wife won't go into the garage, and I don't have to listen to her bumping her gums about some non-bike related rubbish)

I used ACF50 last year and it's just a fancy polish (just an opinion) and was a waste of money on both my bikes as doesn't last if you do the miles. I know a lot of people swear by it but it doesn't give a proper coating that lasts for my liking.

I use http://hybridx.co.uk/ as it's in a completely different league to ACF50. If i had known about this stuff when i bought the bike spend 300 notes on their 15 year coating and jobs done. I have both bikes done and I'm sure soon they plan on doing a video showing you difference with ACF50 being one of the ones being used as a comparison.

Get what you pay for at end of the day and I tour round Europe on mine so got to be good gear :D
