Welcome mate. I was planning visits to Madeira and Lisbon last year, but Covid stopped that! Great looking bike
come and visit... you will like madeira there is really no place like this anywhere. Well worth the visit. safest place in Europe.
Hi and welcome. I love Maderia, been there loads of times. On one trip we took a helicopter ride from the harbour around the island. Great place, you are lucky there are some lovely roads on the island. Edit: Mind the toboggan run is overated. We were excited about doing it and were disappointed when we got down. Still one off the bucket list.
Hello, António, and welcome to the forum from another Speed Triple owner. Thanks for the great introduction to yourself and to your bike. I hope you enjoy the forum. Please post more photos--Madeira looks beautiful!
yeah totally overated because these days its a short ride, back in the day you will go down the hill almost to sea level, but the ride was too dangerous. they shortened to half. yeah madeira have great roads and landscape that make bike ridding great. Not to mention we have sunny weather and good temperature all year long. i am ridding today actually, and could ride it at midle of the day wearing a tshirt. glad to know that people actually know that Madeira exists heheheeh
it is... i am proud of my island, you have great quality of life here, many people around europe buy houses here and come here to live the retirement. will post more pics in just a sec. thanks for the compliments
Hi António, Welcome in! Nice intro and mods. The bike looks proper street fighter. Look forward to see more pics! Enjoy the forum.
Hi António the wife and I love madeira have been 4 or 5 times if we had the money we would have moved there if it works a few photos below.
the trike tours I think had only recently started the last year we went it was great much better than a coach or bus hope they are still going. hope we can make it again when this covid is sorted.
Would there be room on your beautiful island for two expat Americans depending on what happens in the U.S. in the next couple of weeks???
sorry forgot to say nice bike but from my times spent there not very usual as I seem to recall seeing mostly small 2 strokes and scooters.
If I remember correctly there are millions of bends (most of which have big drops on the outside) and next to no straights on Madeira. sounds perfect!
