The economy is half fu*%ed due to this covid business, if half the members on here went dry for January that would fully f*%k it. No not that sort of dry @Tiglet , you just keep wearing your Tennas!

Just looked outside and it’s raining so no chance of there being a dry January.
    :p:D:rolleyes:

About 25 years ago I discovered I was allergic to hops so that was the beer gone. Then I found Scotch makes me sad and recently I triggered a huge migraine on half a glass of shiraz.
I am a cheap date but, the way things are going, I might be looking forward to a nice glass of water.
Drink up lads and have one for me please.

Didn't drink when I was pregnant (3x), didn't drink when I was trying to get preggers (3x), didn't drink for a year each time after having them (3x)...that's over 6 years altogether. Need drinks more than ever now that they are 12:), 14: unamused: and 16:worried: and I don't see that slowing down :confounded:. Handsome husband went dry during first pregnancy as a show of solidarity:heart_eyes:, but we ditched that thereafter because I love the man! A shared drink or two is a fine pleasure and with 2020 what it was and no real great hopes for 2021 those pleasures are to be embraced:cool:. And I think I just took a lot of words to say I agree!

Moderation Watson, moderation. Moist January, maybe. Dry January about as appealling as Veganuary and as likely. Just sayin'.

Just told HH there's discussion on the forum about dry January. He said, "Going dry in this house?! I don't think so! Unless you're talking about dry gin or something like that:)."

Given the state of the UK pub sector due to Covid, I see it as my patriotic duty to buy as many take-outs as possible, whatever the date!
