Since sex is like snow, you never know how many inches your going to get or how long it will last. According to my GF that was me last night

I love that photo, SleepyOwl! But I do hope that the lobster is alive and that the diver puts it back where he found it. :scream: That lobster is huge and must be "an old man of the sea" to be that big.

I actually saw a lobster about that size on a dive in Cozumel several years ago. Our dive master, who had been diving the reefs of Cozumel for decades, said that local divemasters all knew that lobster and that he was very old. He also seemed a bit crotchety the day we saw him! :joy: Just protecting his "turf" I'm sure.

How old would a lobster that size be Sandi? Given the size they begin life it is amazing what they can grow into.

I wasn't sure about the answer to your question, SleepyOwl, other than the vague and general answer, "Very old!" So I poked around on the internet a bit and this seemed to be the most concise and consistent answer. I also learned that lobsters just keep growing as they age. Thank goodness the same isn't true of humans! :joy:

This is rather interesting, too. I also learned that there is a LOT of information about lobsters on the internet! ;):joy:

I'd like to meet the guy who originally looked at a lobster and said "hey that looks delicious, lets eat it."

Lobster was originally fed to slaves. Laws were enacted to limit the amount of lobster you could feed the slaves. They only had to eat at so many days of the week.
