    Strange that the Frenchie's are so effective at closing borders when it suits them, but so ineffective at stopping 'asylum seekers' coming to the UK. :kissing_heart:

    They're obviously not quite as dumb (generically) as we like to think they are. They have a hard currency earning industry going with their smugglers bringing in the masses - for a fee - importing and selling rubber dinghies, and then getting rid of all the ongoing liabilities for someone else to carry. That 'someone else' being, generally, us! Let's face it, if they shipped these "asylum seeker" people to Nederland or Spain, all they'd sell to them would be, perhaps, a pair of stronger sandals! But, a rubber dinghy and, maybe a cheap outboard for the bigger groups - well, work it out!

    You'd be inclined to commend their resourcefulness ........ if it wasn't so hypocritical and downright inhumane.

    @andypandy does this boycott of French goods extend to French Ferries such as the Portsmouth to Santander/Bilbao routes :joy::joy::joy:

    Well now, it's funny you should mention that. As BF do English Breakfasts and take £'s, I tend to think of them as only half frog and half British (ish). A bit like a cross between an ordinary frog and a bullfrog.

    Bought some Australian red wine the other day. I usually buy French wine, as I love France, but as Macron is such a shite, I will never knowingly buy anything French ever again.

    Celebrate Brexit 'done' ..... ( no doubt all the anti-Brexit 'lot' at the BBC Guardian etc will mantain it's a poor deal...) I won't wrongly use the word Journalists to describe them.
    Nice to wake up this morning in a Free Country.... That's what I voted Leave for .
    Happy Safe Christmas to you all.

    Drink it and thereby turn it into piss!! Or you could cut out the middle man and just pour it down the toilet. Your choice.:confused:

    Pour it down the toilet then drive to a layby, fill it with piss and lob it in the bushes. You can then claim your free EU HGV licence.

    Morning all!
    Some great responses here.
    As much as I really like touring France I've come across numerous factors when eating out as a Brit........
    * Always the last to be served
    * Much smaller portions
    * Poor attitude
    We're always really polite and I'm sure they don't treated like this when they visit the UK?
    Anyhow, I'll spend my money in Portugal next year and sod them!
    Rule Britannia!!!!

    You make some fair points there. I voted Remain, and still hold that view, but equally held the view that the vote had been made and that was the end of it. I travel to Spain often, and quite regularly drive there, or back, or both. The response of many French, not all, led me a couple of years ago to always travel directly to/from Spanish ports, sadly with a French ferry company, as there is no choice. Sometimes it's not possible (the Santander ferry broke down once and l had to get the boat from St Malo) but sadly l now begrudge every hour or pound spent in that lovely country. :confused:

    Went to Bayeux to do the landing zones and enjoyed every meal and their hospitality was fabulous for 5 days.
    Even when I was on my way to jerez on the zzr1100 and I thought my bike was on fire after stopping for fuel. Turns out i'd wedged a bottle of coke in the fairing on the previous stop and it'd melted when i'd stopped and steam was everywhere....
    French truckers ran into the garage and grabbed water bottles to chuck over the bike to stop the "fire".... Then, i learned the french for "cock" and "twat" all in one after the truth dawned..!!!
    Bike smelled like a pile of syrup for a week after though!
    Macron is a knobber though but you can't have everything!!!!
    After all, we have gove, hancock et all to even it up.....
