    hello!

I recently bought a Street triple R late 2011 model. I found a problem however, due to be vertically challenged I can't quite reach the side stand to kick it away with my foot when it is down.
I've lowered the bike a little since but this is still not great. I'm considering finding a willing welder to add a peg of sorts to the stand for me to hook my foot on but does anyone know of any alternative side stands for this bike?

The 2013 stand has one built in but I don't know if this would foul anything on your model.

My bike was lowered when I bought it and the side stand is still the standard length, so the bike doesn't really lean over enough when on the stand. I am planning to buy a new stand and shorten it as I don't think there is a shorter version available.....

It's not really the length of the stand that is an issue for me it's more the length of my leg I physically cannot kick it away in order for me to pull away. I will look into the 2013 stand

Hi and welcome Ell - the 2013 stand sounds like a good option providing it doesn't foul anything as noted above. Do you know anyone with that year model so you could try it first?

Unfortunately I don't think i do. I will ask around though. A few friends have the Street but I'm unsure of the year.

Ok I'll chuck this in here! What about one of those telescopic pointer sticks, like lecturers used, or similar, before laser pointers with a hook attached to the end, they reduce to quite a small size! No? I'll get my coat
