I've got a Focusrite Scarlett as well. It's a good little piece of kit. I use it plugged in to the Macbook running GuitarPro and can pretty much make any noises I want. In my case, mostly annoying ones
Oh you mean Monster in a Red Dress! Yeah that’s very silly. My favourite aside from Reapers is actually Miss Suzanne, it’s got a real groove to it. I like Boys in Blue as well, a bit more punky but good fun.
I like this brand, efficient design, fair price. Had an original 70's Big Muff, too much gain, unsuable. Did a part trade in an US guitar center on a new guitar. The best piece of kit I own from EHX is the silencer pedal. Very clever design (the guitar signal triggers the loop gate) and so efficient. A pog is on my wish list too.
I’ve owned a few of their pedals and some of their weird stuff that don’t fit in a cover band repertoire (Q-tron + anyone - then again it might be my lack of ability) I’ve even got the metal muff top boost on my current board! But it is still funny... and they do make weird shit...
Incidentally, I bought a Zoom GFX-8 years ago and never bought any actualy pedals apart from that. Hardly ever use it, mind.
I’ve chucked a bit of GAS brass at effects thinking it will improve my sound... it’s like thinking abs and traction control make you a better rider. (I still have my pedals though...)
Is there a pedal you will immediatly replace it it fails? To me 2 of them, a Digitech Harmonyman and a Morley Bad Horsies. All others can die, I will replace with something else.
Here's me and my band. We play all of the very fashionable Dire Straits first record: This is the funkiest chune. Recorded live in our tiny rehearsal hovel. Me on vocals and rhythm guitar ;-) https://soundcloud.com/klippstars/setting-me-up
Brilliant I’d be one of those blokes in front of you full of Jack Daniels and doing the Dad dancing pretending I know the words
if you are on bacefook, there are some good market places... probably even in France https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/3518675931544873/ Or Reverb.com can come up trumps now and again
"The Guitar Store" (not even sure it was named,) a room in the Virginia Arcade off Sauchiehall Street? Guitars all on the floor on stands. Jimmy Moon, down an alley in Shawlands. Cant say I remember looking at guitars in Victor Morris'. Air rifles, repli's, Black Widow catapults and big chibs!
