Just bought this (this afternoon) after more than 10 years and 40,000 miles on a 600 Bandit. Based on the 50 miles or so I've done on the triple I'm looking forward to the next 40,000!

Looks a great bike and in red :upyeah: Bandits are great bikes for the cash, I had a 600 Bandit for 2 years and followed that with a 1200 S Bandit for 3 years. Both Bandits were trouble free......... Followed these with a Ducati:eek: lets hope the Triumph is more reliable, I have a good feeling so far and hoping to put a few more miles on her this weekend if the rain holds off.

Nice bike, like the Arrow cans what's the sound like? I asked the dealer how much for a pair fitted to my machine and they (Pidcocks Nottingham) quoted me £900.00
Am told you get a few more HP's and the bike needs a remap if they are fitted

Thanks Richard, sounds really nice but not overly loud, got the bike from Hyside in Romford with the Arrows already fitted. They had the standards as well but no baffles for the arrows, never mind they're only £84  . Triumph dealer fitted and remapped, not sure about extra hp's but coming from the blade it does seem a tad slow lol

I can't fault the Bandit - it's a brilliant bike for the money and if I hadn't actually got round to test riding the triple I'd be very happy with the old Suzuki, it's sensible, reliable, and does everything I really need - HOWEVER, we don't buy bikes with our head, do we?

A few hundred miles on the Speed Triple and I can't get enough of riding it! That engine is fantastic and I love the way it handles. Not sure when I'll get used to talking to people when I stop now though... I get a lot more attention on the trip than I ever did on the Bandit!

Download 'tuneecu' yourself. It's a free Ecu tuning tool with pre made maps. Downloads are all free. Diagnostic tools and fault cider readers are just some of the advantages. Not been to a dealer for years now. All you need to do I'd buy a 16 pin OBD11 cable to connect pc/laptop to your bike. Cables can be bought from ebay for £6.
    Remap from dealer £60-£100?
Iv remapped my bike 16 times and constantly use all the features on this software and its cost me.. £6
