Put my newly powdercoated swinging arm back on the Thruxton. Gloss black to match the frame, very happy with the look of this.

Bit bored this evening so took the old girl up the Polegate bypass for a blat
First time I’ve touched the Thruxton for a month and she started straight up on the button so I’m well happy bearing in mind the weather we’ve had (she stored outside under a cover)
Only downer was front tyre losing about 4 psi over the 4 weeks so will need new tubes for service in the new year

Fitted a tail tidy to the Bonneville and SORNED it until next year. The weather is shite and I don't need to keep 2 bikes on the road.

Fitted a Harley style push n twist gas cap under the Monza cap of the Speed Twin today. Total cost around $14.99. No need to take the key out of the ignition to fill up anymore.

Mr. Sandi and I braved the cold to meet up with four of our riding buddies to ride over Gates Pass to breakfast at Coyote Pause. We laughed and agreed that we should just meet for lunch rather than breakfast and let the temps warm up before we get on the bikes. I was on my Speed Triple this morning--for the first part of my riding day. ;)

After breakfast we rode did a great route to the west of Tucson which include Tucson Mountain Park and Saguaro National Park West. I always marvel that I can go ride through a national park on any day of the week and that it's only 20 miles from my doorstep!

Our group ride mileage totaled 55 miles and when Mr. Sandi and I pulled into the garage I decided the day was too nice to stop at that. The temp had warmed up to 70ºF so I dropped off Mr. Sandi and Speedy and mounted up on my new H-D Low Rider S and put in another 75 miles by myself in the glorious sunny weather. Highly therapeutic. And a good way to avoid doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom.

Nice, Jeff. Looks good! Who makes it? Love that garage floor of yours, too.

Finished putting the bike to bed for winter. Polished it to within an inch of its life yesterday:cool: while waiting for it to finish dropping its oil prior to replacing it and the filter. I had intended to use Motul 5100 10w-40 again but after much online research and a phone call to the company (for reassurance mainly) I opted for 5ltrs of Westway Oils newest incarnation of (latest and highest available API:SN spec) their 10w-40 fully synthetic oil. When I fired the bike up to check for leaks a moment of semi panic ensued when the oil light refused to go out until the starter button had been pressed more times than usual:eek: - and then I realised it had taken nearly 4ltrs (usually around 3.5ltrs) to get almost up to the mark as it had drained more thoroughly than previously. Seem to remember that happening before!:relieved: It did eventually take 4ltrs! When I let it fire up - you can do that with carbs and a choke:) - it sounded just as good as previously, so I am optimistic that my £22.99 (yes really!!) including shipping (next day delivery) has been well spent:grinning:. Certainly seemed okay as I went through the gears - you can do that with a centre stand!:) Check out www.westwayoils.co.uk to see what they do. They don't sponsor or advertise either, which keeps their prices down, according to Paul, who is the boss there I believe.
So now it is sitting across the back of the garage in full bondage gear - disc locks, cable locks and a heavy chain and padlock plus a couple of bike covers - until spring is sprung. There's even room to get a car in there as well (got me orders from SWMBO)!!!
    Roll on March/April!:sun:

It's pretty friggin' cold here, too, Sandi. Sunny and dry, but windy and cold. I used to ride in this stuff and still do occasionally, but I'm too old and fragile for such things these days.

Yep, JtC....sunny and dry but windy and cold about sums it up. Yesterday at breakfast Mr. Sandi and I made a recommendation that we change our group rides from breakfast rides to lunch rides while the morning temps are what they are. But by early afternoon it's near 70ºF so quite nice. Those 9am start times are too cold for my blood! Which has thinned considerably since moving to Arizona years ago. ;):joy:

I then decided to take the tiger for a run. It was only 6c so a bit on the cool side, but the roads were dry'ish. I stopped of for a coffee and sausage roll and thought about @dilligaf and @Bad Billy he he!
