Hi all. Stu here, 62 these days, riding since 1975. Based in Calne, North Wiltshire. Just moved back into Triumph ownership after a couple of years away. Seems I registered here in 2017 when I got the last one. Have been a member at TT forum for years, was surprised to see it had disappeared. I've been trying to work out how many Hinckleys I've owned... 3 T300s, a Daytona 955i, Sprint 955i ST, Tiger 955i, Street Triple R (we didn't get on), and a Tiger 1050SE, stolen in France back in 2016. So that makes makes my new Speedy my 9th since 2004, I think. Apart from a short dalliance with a 750 Trident a couple of years ago, I've been messing about with old bikes and projects since losing the Tiger. A year ago I decided I needed a proper bike and unfortunately decided a 2007 1200GS would be a good idea... nah, boring. It's gone, replaced by a 1050 Speed Triple... 2010 model in lovely condition and a mere 8000 miles on the clock. Its 3 owners have probably spent more on accessories than fuel... hate to think what the Arrow high level exhaust cost, but I'm pleased I have it! Anyway, it's in the garage on SORN for now... took it for a 20 minute spin to check it out and parked it till spring. It'll get a new rear Metzeler before then, but not much else... I've got a 76 Guzzi to finish off in the meantime.
Thanks, guys, and appreciate the comments. It is a stunning bike which is why I bought it. I've been through a lot of different bikes in the last few years without falling in love. Hoping this will be the one. I love the fuelling on the motor, so much cleaner and smoother than any map I tried on the Tiger. No idea what's on it, my old PC with TuneECU died a few years ago!
